Mortgage Research Good News For House Buyers
Figures from the Council of Mortgage Lenders show that in July
gross lending in totalled £25.2 billion, with fixed rate deal
mortgages are at their most popular for nearly six years.
Nonetheless, "July's growth in lending to individuals slowed
from the recent trend," said British Bankers Association (BBA)

We Bought A House For $17,500
Good Homes Under $50,000?
My wife Ana and I found cheap homes for sale all over during a
seven-week cross-country trip, and we even bought one in a
pretty little town in the mountains of western Montana. We paid
$17,500, spent almost $2000 to fix it up the way we liked it,
and lived there for several months before selling it for
$28,000. You can see a photo of our little pink house on our
website http://www.HousesU

great towns where ... Read the rest of this entry »
"How To Never Overpay for A Home or Real Estate"
Recently I have noticed that there are a lot of people out
there overpaying for property and I can help but to ask myself
why. The reason that I have come up with is lack of education
that is given to prospective buyers. As a buyer, you rely on
your realtor to protect you. In Webster's dictionary it defines
the word client as:
1: one that is under protection of another: DEPENDENT 2 a: a
person who engages the professional advice or services of
another b: customer c: a person served by or ... Read the rest of this entry »
How much is that house in the window?
With the recent release from the UK's biggest mortgage lender,
the Halifax, of its latest house price report for May 2005,
showing that prices fell by 0.6% last month, and prices falling
just 0.1% since the start of the year, the bank said that the
market is broadly flat. Nationwide however released its survey
last week, showing a 0.3% rise in May. Commenting on the figures
for March, Nationwide confirmed that the 0.6% fall in property
values was the steepest monthly fall they had seen for ... Read the rest of this entry »

When it comes to finding a real estate appraiser, many
homeowners don't know what to look for. This article describes 5
things to look for in a property appraiser.

Bring Your Horse with You to Dallas
There are few cities in the United States that are as welcoming to horses and their owners as Dallas. The variety of boarding facilities, training opportunities, horse shows and rodeos all make Dallas one of the most horse-friendly places around. One example of the excellence in Dallas is the Park Lane Equestrian Center. This is hard to believe, but part of the facility called the Park Lane Ranch includes over 18,000 square feet of climate-controlled riding space! There is just as much outdoors ... Cheap Houses For Sale
We found cheap houses for sale all over the country. My wife Ana
and I were on a seven-week drive around the country. It was a
vacation, but we looked at houses too, and bought one in a great
little town in the mountains of western Montana. It cost
$17,500, and after $2000 to fix it up, we lived there for
several months before selling it for $28,000.
We loved Anaconda. Where else can you fly fish, go to a
three-dollar movie in a beautiful old art-deco theatre (the 5th

Atlanta Real Estate: Rent Versus Buy
Christmas is a good time to root for the underdog. People feel charitable; they want others to have happiness, a peace of mind. But if you pay attention to the real estate market, underdogs are everywhere, and charity is scarce. So what, in this time of giving, is the best thing to hope for. Some might argue the best thing for jeopardized homeowners is leniency from their mortgage companies. This provides short-term relief for homeowners who are not able to meet their mortgage payments. It ... Read the rest of this entry »
Buying Real Estate When It's Not For Sale
Buying real estate can start with a look in the newspaper, a
visit to a broker, or a search online. These are all good ways
to find your next investment property. You're looking at the
same properties as every other investor, of course, so it's not
always easy to beat the competition to a great buy.
A better way to find good real estate investments is to look for
properties that aren't yet for sale, and make an offer. I bought
my first home this way. I put an ad in the paper stating what I
was ... Read the rest of this entry »
Why Buy Mobile Homes?
You can buy mobile homes for much less than stick-built houses
in most areas of the country. Despite the common predjudice
against them, mobile homes are the cheap housing choice of
millions. While the advantages are not always obvious, they are
real.
One of the advantages is fast equity buiding. You see, the myth
about mobile homes depreciating is only half true. In parks they
generally go down in value over time. Buy mobile homes on land,
though, and they'll usually go up in value.

Get Rich With Mobile Homes
Does the myth that mobile homes depreciate in value keep you
from investing in them? Well, they do lose value in a park, on a
rented lot. Mobile homes with real estate, however, are an
entirely different investment.
My mobile home doubled in value in the twelve years I lived in
it. The home deteriorated a little (don't all houses?), but the
value of the land continued to rise. Also, by renting rooms, I
took in far more money from my home than it originally cost, and
I was living in it!

Why Look At Mobile Homes For Sale?
There are mobile homes for sale, for much less than stick-built
houses, in most areas of the country. Despite the persistent
predjudice against them, and sometimes against their residents,
mobile homes are the cheap housing choice of millions. The
advantages are not always obvious, but they are real.
First of all, let's acknowledge the big "truth" about mobile
homes and appreciation or depreciation. It is true in most areas
that mobile homes in parks go down in value over time. That's
why I ... Read the rest of this entry »
